Brent Baldwin represents clients in matters concerning public policy, commercial business and real estate transactions, including acquisitions, construction, financing, leasing and land use.
Brent’s success in achieving his client’s goals is based on both his legal experience and his depth of knowledge concerning community issues, values and policy-makers. Brent is a Central Coast native with close ties to San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. He grew up on his family’s ranch in Morro Bay, California, where he learned to sail, surf and fish. While attending the University of California, Santa Barbara, he met his future partner and co-founder of BLP, Rose Kesten.
Brent is admitted to practice law in California. He is a member of several professional associations: American Bar Association; California State Bar Association; Santa Barbara County Bar Association, Bar Association of San Francisco; and the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce. When he is not practicing law, Brent is usually at sea. He is an avid sailor and holds a captain’s license (50 Gross Ton) issued by the United States Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security.
