Rose Kesten specializes in mediation, business law, and the protection of intellectual property. She is a skilled mediator and negotiator, and has received training in both areas from the Straus Institute for Alternative Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine Law.

Rose draws upon her strong business development and marketing background when representing her corporate clients.  This background enables her to take a unique “big picture” approach to client representation and skillfully recognize the unique demands that businesses face in a global marketplace.   Rose has expertise in corporate mergers and acquisitions; distribution, marketing, licensing and merchandising agreements; contract negotiation; import, export and custom matters; labor and employment; trademark, copyright and e-commerce protection.

Rose is avidly involved with the causes she supports.   In 2006, she assisted in the drafting of SB 1609, a California law that provides increased protection to borrowers with sub-prime loans and reverse mortgages.  She was invited to the State Capital in Sacramento to testify before a legislative hearing in support of this bill which was ultimately approved.

Rose is admitted to practice law in California and is a licensed real estate agent with the California Department of Real Estate.  She is a member of the American Bar Association; California State Bar Association; Santa Barbara County Bar Association, Marin County Bar Association.
